What is a Gantt Chart?
A Gantt chart is like a calendar for your project! It shows who is doing what and when. Each colored bar is a task, and you can see at a glance how all the pieces of your group project fit together.
Getting Started
- Type your project title, class period, and teacher name at the top.
- Click "Edit Team" to set up your group members' names.
- Pick a start date and adjust how many days your project will take.
- Click "+ Add Task" or double-click any time slot cell to create tasks.
- Drag tasks to move them, or pull the top/bottom edges to change their time.
Time Slots and Class Periods
- Each day covers a 90-minute class period (0 min to 90 min).
- Use the Grid Detail dropdown to choose how detailed your timeline is -- 5, 10, 15, or 30 minute blocks. More blocks means more detail!
- Use the scroll wheel pickers in the task panel to set precise start and end times (always in 5-minute steps).
- The After School controls let you add extra time after the class period (0 to 180 minutes).
- Tasks snap to time slots so you can plan exactly when things happen during class.
